Our purpose:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose Purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through particpation in the global ministries of the church.
UMW Circles
Rachel Circle
Meets the second Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. in a member's home or at the church.
Outreach Projects/Activities include sewing baptismal bibs and special church projects such as receptions and Senior luncheon sponsorship.
Rebekah Circle
Meets the fourth Thursday at 12 noon at a member's home or at church.
Outreach Projects/Activities Adopt a family at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Was instrumental in making the church accessible to the physically challenged.
Susanna Circle
Meets the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in a member's home or at church.
Outreach Projects/Activities: Martin Luther King School in Hartford, and Interval House shelter for victims of domestic violence.
UMW Knitters
UMW Knitters knit prayer shawl either at home or together. The Prayer shawls are then given to recipients at pastoral discretion.
