Chancel Choir and Chancel Bell Choir

The Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is for singers high school age and up. Rehearsal is in the choir room on Thursdays from 7:20 to 9:00 p.m. and warm-up is on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. This choir presents anthems and leads the congregation in singing hymns at the 10:30 worship service from September through June. They occasionally participate in earlier services as well. Additionally, they present special music for the Christmas and Easter season and other occasions throughout the year. There are additional opportunities to form quartets, duets and men’s and women’s choirs from within this group.

Sunday Singers / Holiday Singers

  • Are you someone who would like to sing with the choir, but is unable to attend rehearsals on Thursday night?
  • Can you go over your voice part on your own?
  • Can you come to rehearsal at 9:30 on Sunday morning to rehearse?
  • Can you spare 2-4 weeks of Thursday nights in advance of holidays or special services to practice with the choir?

Then you can be a Sunday Singer or Holiday Singer and we would pleased to welcome you into the choir.

The Chancel Bell Choir

The handbell choir for high school ages and up is the Chancel Ringers. They play for holiday services and once a month throughout the year. Rehearsal times are on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. This choir explores the basic of bell ringing and prepares music with various styles and techniques. No prior experience is necessary although it is helpful to be able to read music. There are additional opportunities for small group and solo ringing.
